Computers at the Library
The Main library has a 12 workstation computer lab and 2 workstations in the Teen room all with free access to the Internet as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. You must present a driver's license, photo id, or a library card in order to use a workstation. Every patron is limited to one hour of use if people are waiting; with four hours of use per day.
The Johannesburg Branch has 3 workstations, and the Vanderbilt Branch has 4 workstations available for use.
The Library also has 4 AWE early literacy stations available in the Children’s area at the Main branch and 1 station at our Vanderbilt branch.
Printing is also available in all 3 branches.
Laptops are available to use in-house by request.
Our branches offer visitors free WiFi both inside the building and in the parking lot.
Chromebooks are available in-house and can also be checked out. (Link to Library of Things page)
All computers are filtered in compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). Persons 18 years of age and older can request that content filtering be turned off during their computer session.
